POWERSTEP participated in Porto Water Innovation Week
The POWERSTEP team was present at the 2017 EIP Water conference and the Porto Water Innovation Week that took place in Porto, Portugal from 24 to 29 September 2017.
The week gathered over 1000 participants, including decision makers and technicians of utilities, political leaders, regulators, industry and agriculture representatives, investigators, tech companies, startups, SME’s and investors to discuss the key answers to the questions faced by the water sector.
During the conference, POWERSTEP had two presentations: On Wednesday 27th, POWERSTEP Project Coordinator Christian Loderer presented POWERSTEP at the Hub – an innovation hub in the exhibition area. On Thursday 28th, Mr Loderer gave a presentation about the POWERSTEP project on the main stage of the conference at the session “Water and the Circular Economy, Part 3 – Cities and Water”. In addition, a poster was displayed throughout the event at the European Commission’s booth.
On the final day of the conference, Friday 29th, a side event on the impact of water-related EU funded actions was organised by the European Commission's Directorate General for Research and Innovation and the Executive Agency for SMEs (EASME), in collaboration with EIP Water. Partners from the POWERSTEP team participated in roundtable discussions on the challenges related to maximising the impact of research and innovation actions.
